Candid shot from Laguna Gloria, June 11, 2009

So about last night…

Thanks everyone for coming out, it would have been an unforgettable evening had the 40-days flood not fallen on us in three minutes.  Actually, scratch that…it was pretty memorable.  At least everyone got to enjoy some amazing gnocchi and wine, and got out unscathed.

Unfortunately, AMOA’s Laguna Gloria campus is a high-demand venue for special events, so we’re not going to be able to get back out there anytime soon to make it up to you all.  But we are going on with the show!  At the Alamo Ritz, which has a roof.

Next Saturday and Sunday (June 20th & 21st), we’re going to have two screenings of Fellini’s 8½ in glorious 35mm.

If you were a ticket holder to the event at Laguna Gloria, please choose one of the following and email what you would prefer to brad@originalalamo.com as soon as you are able.  And please use the email address you entered when you originally purchased your tickets, or one collected on the night of the show.

-I would like to attend the screening on Saturday, 6/20, at the Ritz (link to the show)

-I would like to attend the screening on Sunday, 6/21, at the Ritz (link to the show)

-I can not attend either show, I would like an Alamo pass good for a regular admission show at the Alamo Ritz, South Lamar or Village

As an added bonus, the fine folks over at AMOA want to give all the 6/11 event ticket holders that attend one of these screenings a pass to the exhibit The Lining of Forgetting!  You can pick it up at Ritz will call.

We will have additional tickets for sale to both screenings, so if you missed out on what would have been the best 8½ event in history, here’s your chance to get in on the second best.  And in 35mm!

Stay dry.
